Breast implant sizes do not correlate to bra cup sizes. The same implant size will look different on each individual person. You should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon and try on implant sizes. I also recommend bringing in a photo to guide your PS on what look you are hoping to achieve.
Hello! Thank you for your question. In general, implant size does not correlate with bra cup size. The cup size itself will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as who is doing the actual measurements. Thus, cup size is never a reliable indicator for your breast size. I typically encourage my patients not to communicate her desires in cup size but more on the actual look and appearance. The increase in size will depend on your preoperative size, chest width, implant type/projection, and height/weight. However, on cup size increase should be accomplished with that size implant.Good communication between you and your surgeon of your expectations is warranted - choosing your surgeon wisely is the first step. Discussion of your wishes and having an honest and open dialog of your procedure is mandatory (e.g, implant type, incision, placement, lift, etc). I have found that photographs brought by the patient is helpful to get a visualization of the appearance you wish for in terms of size, shape, fullness, etc. Preoperative sizing may be available and helpful to both you and your surgeon. In addition, your surgeon's pre and postoperative photographs should demonstrate a realistic goal for you. Once this has been accomplished, allow your surgeon to utilize his/her best medical judgment during the procedure to finesse the best possible result for you after preoperative biodimensional planning and fitting the right implant for your breast width. Hope me that this helps! Best wishes for a wonderful result!
Thank you for your question. Without an in-person exam, I would not be able to tell you for sure. Approximately 200cc will increase your breasts by 1 cup size. The best thing to do to determine what size is best for you and will give you the results you're wanting, is to go in for a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and try on the implants. If you would like more information regarding breast augmentation, you can download a free copy of my Breast Augmentation Planner. I would say simply that if you are a true 34C a 300 cc implant should take you up to a nice D cup. Maybe a DD in some bra manufacturers. I don't guaranty cup sizes as they vary for bra to bra but try on the 300cc implant in a 34D bra and see if that fits for you or a soft bra and see if you like the size by looking at yourself in a mirror.
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to say exactly what cup size would a 300 cc implant would make you. There are many variations between manufacture's cup sizes. Additionally, women have different anatomical dimensions such as breast base diameter, breast volumes and chest wall dimensions. I always have women try to focus on the look they desire rather than the cup size. By having them bring in pictures, trying on special sizer implants in the office, taking measurements in the office and using sizer implants in surgery to fine tune the look they desire, they achieve the size, look and inevitably the cup size. I usually find the actual cup size they eventually go into is a little bigger than they initially asked for, but it is the look they wanted. Have a good open conversation with your plastic surgeon to guide you in your implant selection.
It is difficult to say if 300cc implants will achieve the results you desire. There is no set volume that makes someone a B,C or D cup. It will vary for many reasons such as your height, weight, breast and chest dimensions, and the amount of natural breast tissue. Also, the profile of the implant will be important. You should discuss this issue with the board certified plastic surgeon you have chosen. Best of Luck
Thank you for your question. It is much better to accurately discuss implant volume and projection with an in office exam and detailed measurements. In order to make an accurate size recommendation, I would need to assess your chest wall and breast mound measurements/characteristics. I use these measurements to help me during the sizing process to guide you to a safe result for your chest wall and just as important, one that meets your end desires. The next step is to try on this range of implants in the office with your doctor. The key to this success is showing your surgeon the body proportion you desire with a bra sizer and allowing your surgeon to guide you to the right implant. It will be much easier to communicate in implant cc's than cup size when determining the appropriate implant for you during the sizing process. In addition, review of photos and use of rice bags can be very helpful to the patient and surgeon in achieving a safe and happy result. Close intereaction and involvement from your surgeon during this process can help alleviate the anxiety and fears of choosing the right size. I wish you a safe recovery and fantastic result.Dr. Gill
It is not a good idea to focus on cup size alone as cup sizes are not standardized. So a D cup to you could be a C cup to someone else or even a DD cup. In terms of implant sizing, I consider two factors when selecting implants for my patients:1. Dimensional planning2. Gel Implant Sizing systemDimensional planning – The measurements of your chest wall are taken. Also, the breast dimensions including the height, width, and current dimensions of each breast form the basis of dimensional planning. Based on these measurements, the implant size is recommended. This will give you a unique breast implant that is suited for your body frame. However, there are some limitations of what size we can recommend. For instance, some implants may just be too big for a narrow chest wall. Your surgeon can review this with you during the consultation.Gel Implant Sizing system – During the preliminary breast implant consultation, you will be provided with an option to “try on” a variety of implant shapes and sizes. You can also visualize the possible outcomes of your surgery which helps you to get that perfect size to give you the shape that you longed for. This way your preferences are known and you can then pick a range of implants that will “fit” just right to give a soft natural fuller look. Hope this helps.Dr. BasuHouston, TX
Maybe but posted photos ALWAYS allow a better over the internet response. Try on sizers in your chosen Plastic Surgeon's office..
Without examining you in person and not knowing your chest measurement, it is difficult to give you a definite prediction. Usually 100-150cc can increase bra size by 1 cup. With 300cc implant, you could be D or DD cup. Also, please remember that bra size varies depending on brand and style of bras. Best wishes.
With all your concerns best to obtain a few IN PERSON second opinions. My guess is sub muscular placement is OK. But you still need to address the asymmetry seen in the posted photo...
