I had my first breast implants in 2013 i had new breast augmentation in march 2022. I had 355 cc moderate profile submuscular this time around before it was 305 high profile submuscular. I wad very hapoy with my new augmentation up until 2 months ago where my right breast began to become stiff and now seems to be way smaller and lost fullness on the bottom. Is this a coontracture or will myy breast drop even after 8 months
Answer: There is a possibility of capsular contracture in your right breast. In the photo, the difference in shape between the two breasts is not severe, but if the right breast is much firmer and tighter than the left, it should be considered that there is a capsular contracture in the right breast. Until one year after surgery, there is a possibility that the implant will become a little softer and the implant will come down a little, so you will have to wait while taking a drug such as Montelukast. If the results are unsatisfactory after 1 year after surgery, the revision surgery should be considered.

Answer: How do I know if I have capsular contracture? Capsular contracture can develop anytime after breast augmentation. If your breast implants were once soft and over a period of time become progressively firm, cause mild to moderate discomfort, sit higher, look less symmetric, you many have developed capsular contracture. The best way to be diagnosed is to see a plastic surgeon to be evaluated.

Answer: Implants You probably have developed a contracture and need to see your surgeon. Perhaps external ultrasound treatments and Accolate can improve your situation.

Answer: Breast shape post op Hello and thank you for your question. In my opinion, it is rare to see much change in breast shape/implant position after 6 months post op. With your description of noting recent change in implant feel/shape/contour I would be concerned for capsular contracture. I recommend an in-person examination with board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options!

Answer: BA results Dear mochi921, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
