I'm 44yrs old and a surfer, I've spent far too much time, in the sun. I have very wrinkling cheeks, creapy skin under the eyes, hooded lids, huge bags under my eyes and sun Spots crows feet and I use Botox on my forehead and between my eyebrows... what would you guy suggest? And also upper bleph with pinch verses without?
Answer: Sun-Damaged Face Hi. Thanks for posting your questions. Without seeing photos, it's hard to give accurate advice. One advise I can give is that any facial rejuvenation surgery will have sub-optimal results if the starting quality of your skin is poor and not addressed. Compared with someone who has good skin, there is a higher risk of recurrence or persistence of poor face shape if a facelift is performed. My suggestion would be to optimise the condition of your skin prior to any surgical consideration. All the very best. Dr Ray Goh

Answer: Only an in-person consultation can answer this. A facelift is best for addressing sagging and laxity in the lower face, upper neck and jowls area, while a brow lift is better for significant signs of aging through the upper face. Because you have multiple appearance concerns, it's important to visit a board certified facial plastic surgeon who focuses exclusively on facial rejuvenation. Together, the two of you can talk about the ideal combination of surgical and/or nonsurgical treatments that would help you meet all of your goals. Dr. E

Answer: What is a Real Facelift The term facelift can be very confusing, however, a true facelift requires that the surgeon both lifts the deep layers and fills the central part of the face to allow for natural facial rejuvenation. The surgeon must have an understanding of the science of facial aging. Be sure to seek a board certified plastic surgeon or board certified facial plastic surgeon with experience and expertise in facelifting.

Answer: Creepy skin options type There are many types of face lift and I understand that the patient can be very confused about choosing which type is the best but for four understanding all face lifts con be divided in deep plane and superficial. The deep plane uses the fat and muscles in a separate layer to give support and reduce tension. Normally has most natural results since tension in minimized but also are more praise. Btu most importantly for what you are referring to you need a help of a dermatologist to treat your skin. Working without the cooperation of a dermatologist be like having a new house without painting.

Answer: Hi rachaels73, It sounds as though you may be a good candidate for a Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty, Mid-facelift and either Chemical Peel or Laser. If you would like to start on the road to recovering your appearance, it is also likely time to find one away from such intense sun. I recommend you speak with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. An in-person examination would be required to determine which procedures would be best. Start out your journey with heavy sunscreen and non-peak sun surfing. Thank you for your questions and best wishes!
