3 weeks after my frontal endoscopic lifting today. I can feel tightness and a little bit of swelling but what really bothers me are these dimples above my eyebrows. Will they go away?
Answer: Frontal endoscopic lifting post-op concern Hi and thank you for your question. This type of brow lift utilizes an endoscope — a narrow, lighted probe with a video-camera — to assist the brow lift surgery. Using an endoscope allows your surgeon to perform a less-invasive surgery with minimal scarring and less possibility of on-going numbness in the procedure area. One natural result of endoscopic procedures, however, is mild trauma at the endoscope entry points, usually producing small dimples or indentations post-procedure. These do not indicate a problem with your surgery or your final results. In most instances, these indications will resolve themselves in the weeks and months after your procedure. If they do not fully resolve or do not resolve quickly enough for you, contact the board-certified facial plastic surgeon who performed your surgery for a specific treatment recommendation. I hope this information helps you. Good luck! - Jacqueline T. Cheng, MD

Answer: Give it time Small contour deformities after surgery are not unusual. Give it some time, as most resolve without any intervention. Discuss with your surgeon.

Answer: Dimpling above my eyebrow after endoscopy lifting 3 weeks post op. Thank you for your question. The dimpling your experiencing isn't too uncommon and should resolve within a couple of months. Be sure to continue to communicate with your treating physician as they know best exactly what is going on as you heal from their surgery. Occassionally you can use a little botox to help relax the area and see if that helps, but often that is not necessary as it self resolves. Best of luck in your ongoing healing. All my best, Dr. Doug Henstrom
