Muscles after facelift feel too tight and spasm - 4 months post-op.

I am sorry to hear you are in pain. Botox and massage can sometimes be used effectively for such spasms.  I recommend consulting with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in regards to your problem. It would be best to schedule an appointment with your board-certified surgeon for an assessment. Muscle spasms are not commonly experienced after a facelift. Massage could help but there is no assurance.

The tightness is most likely due to internal stitching of the muscle. The spams could also be caused by this. It would be best to return to the surgeon for evaluation since muscle spasms are unusual for 4 months post-up. Sometimes Botox helps ans also a nemology consultation could help.

That is an unusual sensation this long after surgery. I would return to your plastic surgeon and discuss. Perhaps there is something else going on. If there are any areas of firmness, gentle circular massage with your fingertips may be helpful. Best of luck
