There will be definitive changes to the face and thosewill vary with your anatomy and the specific typeof maxillary surgery performed. Your surgeon is thebest person to discuss those changes with you. Be sureyou understand the risks and options of treatment for you.
Dear JudyPiretti,The greater changes are widening of the base of nose. The tip may become slightly elevated but not by much. The eyes will not change but the face and jaw will become shorter and rounder.
Hi Judy,This is a good question, and an important set of concepts to understand before undergoing this type of surgery. Unfortunately, the changes in your facial features depend on the exact type of surgery that you are undergoing, as all maxillary advancements are not the same (differences in the amount of movement planned, where the bones are cut, etc). Because this can/will vary a bit from surgeon to surgeon, it would be best to ask your chosen surgeon how the planned surgery will effect the rest of your facial features. You should be informed about all of the anticipated changes that will occur. Both you and your surgeon will be better off if you are well informed prior to surgery, so please don't hesitate to ask!!Hope this helps!dr. silver
Thank you for your question. When the maxilla move forward, the nose moves upward. There is no impact on the eyes and eye shape. The shape of the face and jaw will be changedIt is best to discuss the topic with your surgeon.Sincerely
If it's a LeFort I type maxillary advancement then your lips/nose relationship should improve for the better. Your nose MAY appear more upturned, but mostly not as FORWARD in relation to your lips/teeth. Essentially, your nose will not appear to stick out as far. LeFort I type maxillary advancement will not change your eyes. LeFort II could possibly change your eye shape slightly. But, this will not change the Nose/Lip relationship. The nose will come forward WITH the lips/teeth. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. Correction of the neck will require submental fat removal and tightening of the platysma muscles were then an incision around the ear tighten the muscles and next skin and lower face skin. Personally I would not call this a mini neck lift but a full neck and l...
There should be no issue using Minoxidil. You want to stay away from anything that could contribute to increased bleeding. Be sure to discuss with your surgeon. Best of Luck Dr. J
