Dysport lasted no more then 4 weeks for both me and a friend, is it possible the nurse injected too superficially? (Photo)

There are a few things that could be related to your results from Dysport not lasting. One, as you stated, is that the injector did not inject correctly. Another option is that the Dysport was not "fresh" or was overdiluted. A third option could be that you were undertreated, meaning not enough units were used.

There are many reasons why the effect of Dysport may not seem to last long. This could be either to less than an optimal number of units, improper injections, or if fewer units were injected than what was actually purchased. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.

If you feel that your muscle movements were back after four weeks, it is likely that you needed more Units on this occasion. I prefer not to over treat the forehead area on the first visit and would ask the patient to come back after two weeks for a review and the touch up if needed. I find this way you are sure that you are getting the right amount of the muscle relaxant, results will last longer, and you have a better chance of keeping the natural look. So make sure you always go back for your two weeks review.

Unfortunately this is a common issue. If the correct unit amount of product is used the results should really be at least 3 months and I would usually get up to 4 months.
The toxin is very pure in its powder form but lots of issues can occur along the way which would we less result duration for you:
-dilution is wrong (accident or cost saving)
-not stored at correct temperature or stores too long ie not fresh
-too minimal amount physically injected
-depth of injection can be a factor but i suspect it would be more likely one of the above :(

Thank you for your question. It sounds like you did not get enough units in your forehead. All the neurotoxins require appropriate dosing to achieve the best results. The depth of those injections should be superficial, as the deeper the injector goes the more likely complications are. Go speak with your injector. Remember to always check the qualifications of any injector you are considering. You always want to choose a provider with expert training in both the neurotoxin but in facial anatomy as those are the keys to the beat outcomes. I hope that helps

I would suggest following up with your injector to address your concerns.  Often, a higher dose is needed if the Dysport is wearing off too quickly.  Your injector may need to inject more units at your next appointment, which will hopefully allow the results to last longer.  In the meantime, they may offer a touch up to help prolong the results of your initial injection.

with all botulinum toxins there is a dose-response - meaning the more you put in the longer it lasts (and vice versa). my best guess is that less dysport was used with this injection (fewer units). the depth of injection higher in the forehead shouldn't alter how long it lasts. i would return to the injector to be evaluated and perhaps have a touch up

I would imagine its a problem wither with dose ( to few units per spot) or dilution.These meds are supposed t be Subcutaneous just below the skin , I would doubt that it could be injected to superficially without you feeling the Dysport running down your face.
