Swelling, "caveman" forehead, 48 hours after Dysport. Is this common? (Photo)

I am now at 48 hours after Dysport on my frown line and just above mid eyebrow line, and I still have a fair bit of swelling where I was injected. Looks like a 'caveman' forehead. Is this common? Thanks very much.

I would not say that it it common to have swelling on the forehead after a Dysport injection, but it definitely is possible.  If this occurs, it usually will be at a maximum about 2-3 days after the procedure.  The swelling should begin to improve after this time.  If you feel it is not improving, you should contact the physician who treated you.

Swelling over the glabellar region after 2 days is a bit unusual and could be related to the solution that was used to dilute Dysport or you could have deep bruising and resultant muscle inflammation, both transient conditions that resolve on their own. Dysport itself would be very unlikely to cause this problem. Make sure you contact a board-certified physician or other experienced practitioners for safe and effective results.
