How quickly will I see results after receiving Dysport?

20 units of Dysport is not enough to treat the 11 lines. The glabella is a strong muscle and the minimum standard dosage for females to treat that area is 20 units of Botox or 60 units of Dysport. Dysport is measured and consituted differently than Botox. We recommend first that you clarify with your treatment provider how many units of Dysport you received in that area. Second, if you did the proper dosage you can start seeing results in as little as 3 days but could take up to 10 days to see your final result.

Hi, coxjenna! Thank you for your question. Dysport results fully take into effect 7 - 14 days after injection. However, noticeable results occur around day 3. A standard dose is usually 60 units of Dysport which is equivalent to about 20 units of Botox. Hope this helps.

The normal dysport dose in that region is at least 50 units. When using Botox the average is 20 units. I would normally wait two weeks to see the full effect, and if you are not satisfied, I would return to your physician.

Hi,One of the advantages of using dysport over botox is that the onset of dysport is faster than botox. Dysport usually begins to works at 3-4 days whereas botox takes 7 days, roughly. I always advise my patients to wait a full 2 weeks before considering further treatment. Best,Mehdi Sina, MD

Thank you for your question. Dysport can work as quickly as 2 to 3 days for some people, but the final result should not be expected until 14 days after the injection.  Depending on how long the Dysport lasts, your provider can increase or decrease your dose.  To maintain your results, Dysport treatments are needed every three to four months.

It can take up to 14 days to see the final results from your Dysport treatment. Many patients begin to see changes after Day 5-7. If after two weeks you still have unwanted movement in the injected area, return to your injector for a touch up.

Thank you for your question. Neuromodulators (muscle relaxers) like Dysport, Botox, or Xeomin typically take 3-5 days to begin seeing results however, it takes up to 2 weeks for full results. For my first-time neuromodulator patients, I always have them follow-up in 2 weeks and can add more at that time if needed. It is always best to consult with a board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon who has extensive training in the field as it is not just the amount of neuromodulator used, but the technique and placement as well that determines results.
