I had a breast augmentation done 20 days ago and my nipples are extra sensitive. They feel raw when they rub against my bra. Is this normal and how long could it take to get better.

Answer: Nipple sensitivity Thanks or the question. It is not uncommon to have increased nipple sensitivity post operatively. This almost always resolves over time. Some studies have suggested that desensitization exercises, such as gently rubbing the nipple with soft cloth, or massage may help. There are drugs for nerve pain, but I certainly would record those in the early post op period. I suggest hat you discuss this with your surgeon. Hang in there, this almost always gets better with time.

Answer: Nipple sensitivity I usually recommend silicone gel sheeting for nipple sensitivity after augmentation mammoplasty especially if the incision is around the areola. Constant low pressure helps decrease the sensitivity over a period of 12 weeks.
