I never had cankles until my last pregnancy, which was almost 3 years ago, I noticed the change in my ankles. And now I have cankle and some fatty areas around my knees and also behind my knees. I’m looking at surgeons, with experience, in the area (willing to travel). I know there are important structures such as nerves and vessels that can be easily injured. How likely can this happen? How much downtime, if any? As well as cost for liposuction?
Answer: Liposuction of the knees, calves and ankles is so worth it ! Getting your knees, calves and ankles liposuctioned would make a major improvement and be so worth it. Be careful to find the right doc since there are so few of us who specialize in these areas. Most lipo docs can't do these areas well and won't or shouldn't touch them. Traveling is probably your best option for quality work. Cost is roughly $7,000-10,000. Be sure your doc uses the micro cannulas under tumescent local and stands you up occasionally during the procedure to fine tune the results.

Answer: Prices vary Based on your pictures looks like you are a good candidate for liposuction of your medial knees and and ankles, an in-person consultation would be best for a detailed exam and evaluation.always see a board certified PS.

Answer: CANKLES You're an excellent candidate for suction contouring of your ankles and calves. It appears this is a lifelong issue and almost certainly familial. Suction with a small (micro) cannula will truly sculpt your ankles and lower calves into a shape you can be excited about. Thinning the ankle to expose the contour of the achilles tendon with a depression on each side, then progressive thinning of fat as the ankle rises to the mid calf would create a whole new look. You actually have real ankles hidden in there!

Answer: Cankles There are several options, and the cost can vary widely depending on what you want to do and how aggressive you want to be. The most conservative would be to just inject some Kybella down around the ankles and help that area slim up. Most aggressive would be lipo, along with some fat injection into the calf muscle to give it more shape... sort of a leg re-contouring. As another PS mentioned, you could do Bodytite to help tighten the skin if need be... but lipo and fat grafting would be the best I think.

Answer: Liposuction of the Calf and Ankles Liposuction of the calf and ankle areas used to be something that was not commonly attempted. Since then viable treatment protocols have been developed and I've experienced very favorable results in shaping and contouring the calf and ankle areas.Additionally, newer treatment options including BodyTite safely help to assist liposuction procedures by enhancing skin tightening. While there are important nerves, blood vessels and other structures in this area, with proper planning and attention to detail, they can easily be avoided. Downtime depends on your occupation and normal levels of activity. Obviously, you would need to stay off your feet as much as possible for the first few days and wear some some compression stockings (knee high) for a few weeks to minimize swelling and assist with healing.
