305cc right 285cc left smooth silicone HP under the muscle and below breast fold incisions. Is it normal that my breast are still hard. It’s just now that my PS advised to do massages and take vit E. He said that he doesnt require additional post op visit since everything is ok. So i feel alone in this recovery. I am scared that there’s capsular contracture. Help. Photo is not up to date but pretty much that’s how it looks like.
Answer: 4 weeks post Breast Augmentation, is it normal that my breasts are still hard? Hello and thank you for your question. You are still very early in the recovery process, and the photo that you shared is consistent with being only 4 weeks post-op. Your breasts should start dropping and softening over the next few weeks. Also, 4 weeks post-op is far too soon to develop capsular contracture, so don't worry about that. In my practice, we do a 1 week, 4-6 week, 6 month and 1 year post op. It is more than reasonable for you to ask your surgeon for another appointment - even if it's just for reassurance.Best, Steven Vath

Answer: 4 weeks post op, is it normal that my breasts are still hard? (photos) There is some hardness due to swelling that should resolve over several weeks. Your best advice will come from your PS as he is aware of the extent of your surgery and how you are healing. Following his post-operative guidelines based upon his training and experience should reassure that your recovery is on track.

Answer: Firmness It is not uncommon for your breasts to feel firm at 4 weeks post op. It takes up to 6 months for you to see your final result, but you will see some softening even by 3 months. Over this time your breasts will gradually drop and start to soften. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon to ensure you feel comfortable in your recovery.

Answer: Breast Aug Recovery During the initial weeks/months of recovery from a breast augmentation it is normal for the breasts to feel hard/firm. Around the 3 month mark, the swelling should be down significantly, the skin should be stretching to accommodate the implants, the muscles should be beginning to relax, and the breast should begin to soften and drop into a more natural looking breast. The breasts will continue to settle for 6 months to a year, at which time results will be final.

Answer: When will my implants soften? Thank you for your question - you are indeed correct - implants tend to be quite firm post operatively. Especially when larger implants are placed in a thin person - your scenario. The larger the implant the longer it takes to soften. I would plan on not noticing a huge difference until 6 or 8 weeks post-op at which point they will begin to soften. Best of luck!
