My inframammary fold is uneven. Can this be fixed? (photo)

Hello!  Thank you for your question!  On your submitted photos, I could appreciate the asymmetry nd the revisions that you desire. Some of the difference may be from a capsular contracture, which may appear as size difference as well as fold/and or implant position differences. Even if simply a breast fold and/or implant issue, thus could also be corrected by either revision of the breast and/or implant. A further evaluation would certainly be necessary, but revision and improvement to meet your goals should be able to be accomplished with surgical revision. Hope that this helps. Best wishes!

This asymmetry isn't limited to just the fold, but also to the rest of the breast. Usually inframammaryfolds and asymmetry can not be completely resolved, however the appearance can probably be improved with a combination of surgeries. However, this is something that has to be performed by an experienced surgeon who will also explain the side effects of this surgery to you. 

Thank you for your question and photographs.  And yes, I do indeed agree with you that you have rather significant symmetry issues that could/should be addressed.  Obviously it would be helpful to know what your breasts initially looked like, but it will be equally important to know what your plastic surgeon did during your augmentation operation.  I would definitely circle back to your plastic surgeon and even consider getting a second opinion!  Best of luck!

It would definitely be easier to raise the right fold and overall, you would have a nicer result with this. I agree with your idea to have a lift on both sides and reshape the breasts a bit. Please see a Board certified PS in your area who can help you with these issues.

Yes, asymmetry can be corrected, but an in person examination is needed to determine what the cause of the asymmetry is.  Make sure you consult with a surgeon who can demonstrate significant experience with revisionary breast surgery.  Best Regards.Anthony Deboni, MD@drdeboni

pensacola9959I appreciate your frustration, however breast asymmetry is fairly common, and certainly treatable!. In your case, I recommend exchange of implants with capsulectomy, with breast lift and lowering of your right inframammary fold, if needed. Sometimes the breast lift is enough to correct the asymmetry, but lowering the fold is certainly feasible, if needed. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to confirm my advice.
