Is it safe to have lipo and tummy tuck after having back surgery?

If you are seeing ongoing improvement from your back surgery, and your sensation levels continue to improve, I would consider waiting. On the contrary, if your results are pretty stable and you're not doing anything such as active physical therapy, you should be healed enough to proceed with the second surgery, in this case a tummy tuck and liposuction.

Full recovery from most surgeries is complete at a year's time. Certain procedures can take even longer. If you are over a year out from your back surgery and there are no contraindications, I don't see why you should not be able to move forward and have a tummy tuck and liposuction.Recovery from a tummy tuck can be pretty intense if the muscles are tightened.
