I've noticed that one of my eyes appears smaller than the other. I'm not sure if I'm overreacting, or if I should seek surgery to fix this; sometimes it is not as noticeable if I focus on opening my right eye more. Is this a normal amount of asymmetry?

Answer: Eyelid Asymmetry - Trace Almost everyone has mild asymmetry between their eyes and on each half of their face. You are beautiful and have lovely eyes. Artful makeup is all I'd recommend on the basis of your nice photograph. If you ever wanted a definitive opinion, please see a board-certified, fellowship trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon who specializes in cosmetic eyelid surgery. Avoid doctors who perform eyelid surgery part time. Best wishes! Damon B. Chandler, MD Harvard-Penn Trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Is it normal to have some eye asymmetry? It is normal to have asymmetry in the eyelids and the forehead. If this is bothering you significantly, and is present consistently, then consider a very conservative skin only upper blepharoplasty on one side to match the opposite side as long as there's no ptosis present. For many examples, please see the link and the video below
