Is there any hope in fixing the irregularities, or will I make things worse by going back? My PS is Board Certified PS and offered an in-office touch up on the right side where there's a bulge that's noticeable with clothes on. He will not charge for this... I don't know, I think it needs a little more than a touch up on the right?

A touch up of liposuction will help improve irregularities. I recommend a hi-definition procedure. Thanks for the question. After Liposuction surgery, 3-9 months you still see progress in the performance of the surgery. After 1 month you will still have swellings and it is still early to say something about the final result. You should follow up the progress with your surgeon. I wish you all the best.

From the photographs it looks as though you had previous pregnancies. Laxity of the abdominal wall and the redundant skin and stretch marks are not addressed by liposuction. The stretch marks are areas where there is no elasticity in the skin and contour irregularities are predictable when liposuction is performed alone. Correction will probably involve an abdominoplasty.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph and I am sorry that your current results have not been what you anticipated.  Though based only on your picture it appears that you have skin excess and laxity along your lower abdomen which would better be treated with a skin excision procedure like a tummy tuck rather than liposuction.  I would review your desired results with your surgeon and then seek an in-person second opinion with another ASPS board certified plastic surgeon.  Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your question and photos. The photos are not helpful in determining the cause of the "bulge" you mentioned. If the bulge is due to muscle weakness from childbirth, then liposuction is not likely to help. I suggest you have a second opinion about the possibility of tummy tuck. You look like you have enough excess skin to accomplish a nice result with TT.

If the assessment that can only be done in person suggests unevenness of the fat removed then touch up liposuction will be helpful. If there is skin laxity then a skin tightening procedure will be needed. I am always cautious in telling anyone undergoing liposuction that a loosening of the appearance of the skin is possible. A we get older, have had previous pregnancies or extensive weight loss, this risk of loose skin after surgery grows.

Congratulations on your liposuction and I'm sorry you are dissatisfied. Irregularities and definitely part of the expected complications but there are several treatments that can alleviate and improve the area. Talk to your doctors about ThermiRF, it is a non-invasive procedure that can do wonders for abdominal laxity. Also an average of 6 months recovery is required after liposuction- but for some patients it takes longer.

Seems like you do have a little unevenness.  At 7 months out I am not sure it will improve much more on it's own.

You may have to consider some additional fine liposuction to even things out and a mini-abdominoplasty to tighten the skin a bit.

If you had loose skin prior to suctioning, then this is the result you will probably get. Judging only by the single photo, I think you may need an abdominoplasty to get the flat abdomen you wanted.
