Can cooking soon after liposuction swell you? If so how long should I stay away from heat/cooking?

The reason for my question is, I was told that I should stay away from cooking for a few weeks because the liquid that is pumped into a patient during lipo surgery cause swelling with heat. Is that true?

It is still too soon to tell. You most likely still have some swelling in addition to scar tissue and it can take 6-12 months to resolve. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen along with your compression and massage to help decrease swelling.  Rooling with foam roller or doing fascial blaster re...

Most patients describe pain after Liposuction of the calves as sore and uncomfortable, not excruciating. Elevation after surgery also helps. Good luck!

I believe it refers to getting the waist as small as possible through surgery and getting the best waist to hip ratio.

Thank you for your question. Advise on showering will depend on your surgeon's instructions as some of the patients were discharged from the hospital with waterproof plaster covering their wounds and compression garment. Generally during the first 24-48 hrs, you can do tepid sponge bath.
