Fillers best for body? Fillers to correct small liposuction mistakes. Fat grafting not possible.

Question

Hi i have small irrigularities on thighs and a big whole above my knee after liposuction. i do not have enough fat for a transfer. So i am considering a permanent filler to fill in these irrigularities.. mauybe aquamid or something else... though i heard some people have problem with infection after aquamid ? Normal filler like voluma juvederm, would be to costly, having to correct to often... im looking at a long term solution.. artefill, ellanse. What do you doctors suggest?.

With small irregularities, there doesn't need to be a lot of fat harvested to give improvement. I recommend a hi-definition procedure for best results. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF, ultrasound and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, and smoothing, if you're a candidate. Alternatives would be coolsculpting/vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin's appearance. Fillers like voluma, bellafill and sculptra will last longer.  silicone maybe able as well.  Dr. Emer.

Contour irregularities- lumps and divots- are a risk of liposuction. These risks can be minimized by choosing to have surgery with an experienced Plastic Surgeon.When contour irregularities occur, fat grafting is the best way to help correct the problem and typically, we can harvest fat in all but the very thinnest of patients. Unlike a Brazilian Butt Lift, we don't need much fat to correct small defects.I do not recommend use of the currently available permanent fillers anywhere in the body since I have treated many patients with complications, some severe, from these products. If someone wants to use an off-the-shelf product, the hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, etc) or the poly-lactic acid (Sculptra) products are much safer.

Thank you for sharing your question.  I would not recommend a permanent filler like Aquamid and would have you steer towards a long-lasting filler such as Sculptra.  This will help your own body build increased collagen to your tissues to help improve upon your contour irregularities.  Hope this helps.

You are best to use fat from your body if possible, The other fillers are not a good idea for this. Best of luck.

Hi-   I do not recommend any bod fillers at this time and can almost 100% of the time find some fat in order to help with these contour irregularities. The only body filler would offer but can be extremely expensive is Sculptra. The other permanent fillers have been fraught with terrible complications. Good Luck!
