Arnica and Bromelain dosage and protocol. When should I take them? How many times and at what dosage?

Dear Kanora,     This is something you will need to clarify with your plastic surgeon.  It is common to start using Arnika two days prior to your procedure and taking one pill twice a day.  Every surgeon has their own protocol when taking pre-operative supplements and it is important for your safety to follow their instructions.

Every surgeon varies with his/her post op instructions. It best to double check with your surgeon.  Some recommend these regiments, some don't as there is no scientific evidence I am aware of that shows they make any difference.

Hi. Great substances for preventing inflammation. Take two sublingual pills of arnica  each 6 hours starting one day before surgery and ending 7 days after surgery.  As for  the Bromelain, which extract  from the pinaple, and works the same, the same dosis is recommended.Both  are great  to prevent post surgical swelling. Thank you for your question regarding bromelain and arnica. You can take them both as directed on the bottles starting a few days prior to and a few days following your procedure. Of course, do not take them the morning of surgery since you should not eat or drink after midnight the night prior to your surgery.
