hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question its recommended if you ask directly for plastic surgeon about this theme.
justasmalltowngirl. Good question. I usually prescribe pain medication, anti-nausea medicine and a muscle relaxant for my breast augmentation patients. Health insurance usually covers these costs, however if no insurance, it is worth shopping around and even looking online. Cost for these medications should run between $50 and $100. Also compare costs between generic and non-generic medications. Discuss this issue with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Hi justasmalltowngirl, I understand your concern. However, every plastic surgeon has different post operative protocol on medications. It would be best to seek advice from your plastic surgeon. Check with your surgeon as to what medications will be prescribed, not all surgeons prescribe alike. Many insurance companies cover prescriptions medications, check your insurance. Not all medications are the same cost everywhere, compare your local pharmacy with some of the big box stores that have pharmacies. Good luck.
