I’m getting a BBL in August... Debating whether or not to add lipo to arms and chin. I am 5’4” and currently 165. Probably going to try to lose a few pounds before surgery, this is the heaviest I have ever been and I’m going for a natural look. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the effectiveness of lipo on arms and chin. Some say they can’t see any difference. And some say arm lipo will just cause saggy skin. Any thoughts?
Answer: Arm and Neck (Chin) Liposuction Alexa I appreciate your concern and confusion, however liposuction of the neck and arms, in the properly selected patient, can achieve wonderful results. It appears from your photographs that you are a good candidate, however physical examination would be needed to confirm this. There should be an option to add this to your BBL procedure. Discuss my recommendations with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Liposuction for the Chin and Upper Arms While you would need an in-person assessment to say for sure, it appears you would be a good candidate for liposuction of both the arms and the chin. Skin laxity can be a problem after either of these treatments, but if your skin doesn’t quite bounce back to the new contour, there are also non-surgical skin tightening treatments that can be used to put the finishing touches on your results. Choose a board-certified dermatologist for your procedure that is an expert in both the liposuction and BBL portions of your procedure to ensure you enjoy the best possible results afterward.

Answer: Liposuction of the arms and chin Thank you for your questions and congratulations on your upcoming surgery. In regards to adding your arms and chin, I do believe you would be a great candidate. On the arms you will see some skin retraction and help slim the area down and the same for the chin area. I would speak with your surgeon and see what their recommendations are. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Should I get arm and chin lipo with my BBL? (photos) Recommend BodyTite and lipo on the arms and lipo on the chin. Having all three procedures performed at the same time is reasonable, but be sure that your board certified PS is an expert in all procedures and can complete the surgery in less than 6 hours.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles, CA

Answer: Should I get arm and chin lipo with my BBL? Thanks for your question. When planning a Brazilian butt lift, patients can look forward to a double benefit: reducing areas of unwanted fat while gaining a perkier, rounded posterior. Each procedure must be planned according to the individual needs of patients, harvesting fat from target areas of the torso, thighs and can also include the arms and chin. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
