Can I use J-plasma the same day as lipo?

J-Plasma uses helium gas and radiofrequency energy to tighten the skin and soft tissues. This can be combined with liposuction, however, I would not recommend using it during a tummy tuck. The amount of energy being passed through your soft tissues may compromise the blood supply and result skin necrosis or wound healing complications.

Yes J-Plasma is often used safely in conjunction with these procedures for optimal internal skin tightening. This combination was likely recommended as it will give you the most tight/toned result. Always see a board certified physician for any surgical procedures. Best, Dr. Emer

The need for tightening skin along with a tummy tuck seems odd, unless it’s applied elsewhere. The real question should be is the surgeon board certified by the American Board of plastic surgery, is the clinic certified, and has the surgeon done a ton of combined procedures? If not, see someone who qualifies for the above three, and do not shy away from asking; how many combined procedures did you do, on women who look like me, last year doctor? Do not accept vague answers.
