If you have your surgery performed in a hospital for example, it is generally more expensive than in a surgery center. Silicone implants do cost a little more than saline as well. You can request a breakdown of the charges to get a better feel for the discrepancies.

Yeah it is pretty crazy how much prices can vary. From what you tell me it is not the implants that are the big difference in the two quotes, it is mostly likely the surgeons fees. You just have two surgeons that feel they are worth different amounts. I say that because anesthesia and facility are generally pretty darn close at surgery centers. I try to quote the surgery center that I use most and if the facility changes I just let my patients know it could be a few thousand dollars more, but not the difference you see here. The other thing that may cause for such a difference in price is that amount of time each surgeon is saying takes them. If one is super slow then it will take longer and cost a lot more and if one is faster then it takes less time and would be cheaper. Each surgeon still may do a wonderful job but they just move at different comfort levels. If you want a third opinion I am happy to see you.
