It does not look infected at the moment.  I would recommend applying an antibiotic ointment regularly to help the skin heal and the crusting resolve faster. 

You are right to not want a goretex implant.  These carry a host of problems.  I would also avoid silicone, Medpor or porous polyethylene implants for similar reasons.  The terms "alarplasty" and "tip plasty" are parts of a rhinoplasty or a nose job.  I think by those terms, you are refer...
