I’m almost 1 year post op and have scar tissue. I have seen many massage post op massage therapist and they all say it’s scar tissue. It’s not fibrosis. Recently I went to see a local plastic surgeon to see what he can to or how to remove scar tissue and he recommended Venus Legacy which is a radio frequency treatment. I’ve read laser therapy works well too. Please help! I’m so unhappy with the scar tissue. My stomach is hard and lumpy. Skin moves, but underneath is hard. What should I do?
Answer: Scar tissue Dear Fierce815868, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Scar tissue after microaire 360 BBL. What should I do about it? The lipo techniques were very over aggressive, thus thinning the sub dermal fat layer leading to the fibrosis effect with lumping. You can try any non invasive therapies, I doubt with much success. I have found only re operation with the specialized cannula release as in S.A.F.E. lipo can offer more improved outcomes for fibrosis. Though there are never any guarantees.

Answer: Understanding the problem Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than people believe. In your case the problems you have are pure related related to how the procedure was performed. There’s nothing unique about you it is simply what results look like when someone(your provider) is overzealous with Liposuction and doesn’t have the skill to deliver an even fat distribution. Well almost all the fat is removed and it’s done so unevenly the body forms scar tissue. Scar tissue always forms after liposuction but when an adequate amount of fat is left in place discard tissue doesn’t create any problems. The problem is when almost all or all of the fat has been removed there is no fat buffer discard tissue and this is what people referred to as fibrosis. There is no actual condition called fibrosis other than excessive fat removal with normal scar tissue that forms after aggressive Liposuction. Liposuction is a permanent and more or less irreversible procedure and there is no treatment that is going to properly restore your fat after it was inappropriately excessively removed. Further Liposuction especially using energy devices like VASER will only create more scar tissue and make the process worse. In the end your surgeon is responsible for your outcome and you are responsible for choosing that surgeon. Unfortunately delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than both patients and surgeons believe. Despite board certification and plastic surgery most plastic surgeons are not particularly well trained or talented in Liposuction. The procedure is more difficult when it comes to delivering quality results than people think. It takes years of experience doing thousands of cases to master body contouring. Treatment options usually come down to revision Liposuction, fat transfer or converting the procedure to a skin removing procedure like a full tummy tuck. None of these are great options in your case. There may be some slight room for improvement but there’s also an equal chance that things can be made worse if you’re not working with someone who can do the primary procedure well to start with. Revision Work is 10 times more difficult than primary Liposuction. I don’t think radio frequency is going to do anything for you. It isn’t going to address the fundamental problem that too much fat was removed and now you are left with an uneven very very thin fat distribution. discard tissue simply forms from Liposuction and the more liposuction you do the more scar tissue you get. Nothing is going to make the square tissue go away. in the end it isn’t a scar tissue that’s the problem it’s that you were left with two little fat and on top of that it’s uneven. I wish I could be more optimistic but I believe patients have been disfigured from cosmetic surgical procedures deserve to hear the truth. It can at least stop them from the endless pursuit of looking for the holy grail to fix something that in the end probably isn’t fixable. I did mention some improvements can be made. The degree of improvements that are possible are generally very subtle and may not justify the expense or having the procedure. With complex topics and especially situations that are poorly understood expect to get different opinions. This is normal since providers are motivated to want to help you with something so expect to get different opinions however none of them will guarantee your promise something will work because they can’t.
