My INR was a bit high. It came out to 1.12 and the normal range is 0.8 - 1.1. If my blood is taking a little longer to clot, would this pose a threat if I’m doing a bbl, tummy tuck, lipo on arms, chin, and cheeks? My pcp and surgeon said it should be fine but I’m hoping I find others that had issues with blood clots or tested high on this particular test.
Answer: INR and BBL Hi, thank you for sharing your question. A high INR indicates an increased risk in bleeding, not clotting. Your INR is marginally higher than the reference range. I would not consider this an increased risk of bleeding. Consult with your plastic surgeon and bring this to their attention.

Answer: High PT with INR -would this pose a threat if I’m doing a BBl, Tummy Tuck, and Liposuction? Best to discuss with your chosen surgeon in more detail. Higher clotting levels means you do not clot quickly, not that you form more clots. If you were my patient I would ask many questions, repeat PT/PTT/INR with a blood clotting test added. If you are still unsure seek a hematology clearance.

Answer: INR Hello, and thanks for your question. Your INR is only slightly elevated-I would feel comfortable performing a procedure on you with these lab levels. Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you! Answer: Borderline high INR Hi and welcome to our forum!Your INR (international normalized ratio) is not exceptionally high, essentially borderline. This should not pose a clotting problem unless other parameters are abnormal.Best wishes...
