Hello and thamk you for your question! For hand rejuvenation, dermal fillers are an excellent option to address aging signs, visible veins, and tendons. The hands naturally lose volume over time, leading to a thinner appearance where veins and tendons become more prominent. Fillers work by restoring volume, providing a smoother, more youthful look.Hyaluronic Acid fillers, like Juvederm or Versa, are often used because they’re biocompatible, relatively easy to reverse, and provide immediate results. These fillers can add volume to plump up the skin, reducing the appearance of veins and tendons. They typically last about 6-12 months in the hands, depending on factors like metabolism and product choice.Radiesse is also a common choice for hand rejuvenation. Unlike HA fillers, Radiesse stimulates collagen production, making it especially effective for hands where skin thickness is an issue. Its effects last longer (often around 12-18 months), and it can provide a smooth, natural feel and look.I hope this helps! Best of luck.Genie Alexander, RN BSN for Anna Petropoulos, MD FRCS at Center for Classic Beauty, Danvers & Boston, MA.
Thank you for your query. Hyaluronic acid or autologous fat filling will do wonders for your hands. The tendons and the veins will become much less visible. The procedure is fast and done under local anaesthesia. Please find an experienced board certified Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!.
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Easy answer. Fat transfer to the hand. Permanent, fast procedure, minimal scarring, and can be done under local anesthesia only. Much longer lasting result than juvederm or other fillers.
There is a great new option available called Renuva. This injectable treatment replenishes age related fat loss gradually with your own fat. This is not a fat transfer. You will see some improvement at the time of treatment, and it will continue to improve over time. Visit my website or a provider near you to learn more.
Fat transfer is a fantastic way to make hands look younger. The volume helps hide the veins and tendons, and the stem cells within the fat help improve the skin.
Hello, the best option to do hand rejuvenation will be fat transfer, it will give you more thickness to the skin, and also because the stem cells it will improve the skin features
A robust HA volumizing filler can not only restore the volume to the hands, but can mask the underlying tendons and blood vessels that are hallmarks of aging hands. In experienced hands (no pun intended), each hand treatment should take no more then ten or fifteen minutes. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert.
Hello Diligent167,When it comes to hand rejuvenation, multiple treatments can address signs of aging like prominent veins, visible tendons, and thinning skin. Dermal fillers, such as Radiesse or Restylane, can be injected to restore lost volume, making veins and tendons less noticeable and the hands appear more youthful. Additionally, laser or light treatments can help improve skin texture and reduce age spots. Fat grafting is another option where your own fat is harvested from another part of the body and then injected into the hands to replenish volume and improve skin quality. Each patient's needs are unique, so it's crucial to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can guide you to the most effective treatment tailored to your concerns.
Hello and thank you for your question. In my experience, I find that Radiesse is a wonderful solution for addition volume to the back of the hands. As it is a collagen and elastin stimulator, it also improves the quality of the skin. You do have significant volume loss, so likely your treatment would be best done in stages, but I would suspect that you could need 2 syringes per hand, done in 2 sessions 2 or so months apart. You also appear to have some pigment on the skin so the "icing on the cake" so to speak would also be IPL/BBL treatments as well. One final note - whatever products you are using on your face, also should find their way to your hands as well!I hope this helps, Best wishes for happy hands!Dr. Amanda Maloney
