I've had "crepey" skin forever, but it's getting to a point where I'm beginning to hide my hands from embarrassment. I'm 29 and have the hands of an old woman. One of my prior surgeons told me that a fat transfer would not give me the results that I'm hoping for and I'm losing hope that there may be a fix
Answer: Hand rejuvenation You will have the best result from a combination of treatments. Renuva is an option for hand rejuvenation. It is similar to HA fillers in that you will be able to see immediate improvement in volume, but it's different in that over time the product is gradually replaced by your body's own fat which gives longer lasting results. You can consider topical treatments to improve skin texture as well.

Answer: Recommend doing a light CO2 and a melapeel to help tighten the skin. Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to discuss the best treatment options for your type of skin. . Answer: HA Skinboosters Can Work Well For Improving Crepey Skin At least from the photos provided, crepeyness of the "fabric" of the skin, rather than volumetric deficit, appears to be the primary issue. If this is indeed so, then using an volumizing filler would not address the primary issue. The use of ultrasoft HA fillers intended for improving skin texture, tone and brightness would be in order. A series of three or four treatment sessions are usually required to achieve optimal results. You would also do well to be certain to avoid harsh, degreasing cleansers and make sure to liberally apply thicker moisturizers, particularly before bedtime. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist who can help you with all these issues. Best of luck.

Answer: Hand rejuvenation Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos! From your photos, you may be a good candidate for Thermage®, which is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency to help smoothen, tighten and contour the skin for an overall more youthful appearance. The great thing about this treatment is it can be performed with little-to-no downtime. In some instances, I will combine this with fat or filler injections to help plump the skin. I also often recommend my patients use topical creams like Dr. Michelle Copeland's AHA moisturizer and Rewind Age-Defying Cream, which are specially formulated with anti-aging and anti-wrinkle ingredients like Resveratrol and Argireline, and/or laser treatments to improve overall skin quality. It would be helpful to examine you in-person so we can tailor the treatment approach. I recommend you speak with a fully-trained plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Answer: Thermage Thank you for your question. I would need to examine you to best answer your question. One treatment that may be an option is Thermage®, which is a safe, non-invasive, radiofrequency (RF) cosmetic procedure that’s clinically-proven to help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger looking appearance. The treatment delivers natural looking results with little to no downtime. You can even come in during your lunch break and return to work after! Thermage® uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deep, collagen rich layers of your skin. The heat helps tighten existing collagen and stimulate the formation of new collagen, which reduces sagging, renews contours, and improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface. I recommend you speak with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
