I was diagnosed with nocturnal epilepsy about 5 years ago. I only have a seizure every few months, and the newest meds are working great (3+ months seizure free). May I still get implants?????

Answer: Seizure and surgery Sure, I would recommend a consultation with a neurologist. And surgery with an experienced plastic surgeon.it should be safe and without a significant risk

Answer: Epilepsy and Breast Implants Dear GG, Thank you for your post. There is nothing contra-indicated about having breast implants when one has epilepsy. Implants are very strong, especially the highly cohesive (gummy bear) implants. It sounds like your epilepsy is well controlled. Notify your physician of your intentions, and ask for advice on modulation of epilepsy meds during the post-operative period. Best wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
