I bit my lip about 2 years ago. I ended up with a bump that won't go away. I have been to a dermatologist and a plastic surgeon. Both tried razoring it off but within 3 months the bump was back. I'm losing hope as to what this is and if there is a way of removing it. It does not hurt but it is very annoying and not aesthetically pleasing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Answer: Lip Lesion Removal It is a mucocele or a scar. Either way, a removal of the lesion is appropriate at 2 years since injury. I do lip lips and lip reductions all the time and this is just another type of targeted lip reduction. It is performed under local anesthesia in the office.Gary Linkov, MD Lip Specialist / RealSelf Lip Lift Medical Reviewer Manhattan

Answer: Bump on Lip -- excisions versus laser this likely needs to be fully excised and sutured closed. that may leave a scar that can then be lasered however, you can try co2 laser excision or needle excision and if that doesnt work alway go to doing the surgery. Please see an expert, we are in NY every few months and can accomidate. In mean time use lip plumper and enzymatic exfoliation to minimize its look (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Lump after biting lip I think you probably have developed a bite fibroma, which is a type of scar tissue. It just needs to be excised completely, which will require a few stitches.

Answer: Bump Dear Mj131313, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would get the best results from excision. It can be done under local anesthesia. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: How to remove bump on lower lip? I think the bump on your lower lip just needs to be excised, so that it is removed completely. This would be a relatively minor procedure that could be done in the office.
