Lip filler vs mental crease filler? (Photo)

Question

I have been interested in trying a lip filler for quite some time. Nothing too crazy, but just something to add a more pillowy look to my lips. I also have a deep mental crease. It's been there since I was a kid but is getting worse. My question is, if I get lip filler will it just make my mental crease more prominent by making my bottom lip large ? Should I get a mental crease filler instead or just save money to have both done together.

lip filler to your lip itself, chin/around the mouth would look great in the right persons hands. also I suggest some lip products to just give you lips a boost without looking over done and keep the skin healthy (see link).  Best, Dr. Emer.

There are surgical and non-surgical approaches to lip augmentation. Non-surgical approaches include botox (slight lift, reducing gum show) and filler (volume restoration). Surgically, you can have two separate incisions under the nose (italian), one incision under the nose (bull horn), one incision at the red/white upper lip junction (gull wing) or two separate incision at the corners, or a combination, depending on your desired look and anatomy. My preferred surgical technique is called the Elelyft, which is a version of the bullhorn approach. I would recommend that the attention be focused on your upper lip, since the bottom lip already has sufficient volume. This can be done with filler as a temporary option or with a lip lift as a more permanent option. Gary Linkov, MD

I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.
I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections.Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.

Thank you for the photo!  You have the ideal shape of lips to augment and small pillows of filler placed correctly would not accentuate your mental crease, but rather show off your gorgeous lips!  A little bit of filler in the mental crease would be very beneficial.  Warm regards
