To me, you do not have jowls but rather you experienced facial volume loss. This in combination with a weak chin are responsible for the changes you are observing. Injectable fillers with or without chin enhancement would provide you with a meaningful rejuvenation.
I suggest a formal consultation to determine if you need fillers or if other treaments like jawline contouring with liposuction, thermiRF, kybella, thermage/venus legacy can help. Best, Dr. Emer.
There are many patients from have changes such as you have at 35. There is volume loss and very early slight Jowl formation. The aging process is a long continuum and only you can decide when you want to have something done to fix this.
The photographs show a very normal 35 years old age related aging process. There is no significant loss of volume or excessive jowl and however the lower cheeks are a little fuller and that can be improved by fillers in the middle part of the cheeks. Also the tear troughs need injections to minimize the lower eyelid baggy appearance.RegardsDr. J
It is very difficult to tell if you have the beginnings of jowl formation due to the lighting and facial position of the photos. From the photos you have submitted, you have very mild jowl formation. This can certainly begin to appear in people in their 30's. Smoking, chronic sun exposure, and rapid weight loss can also contribute to the quality of the skin as well as the formation of wrinkles. I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon treatment options.
You look very young from the photo to have or need surgery but something more conservative like fillers may be far more appropriate. See a board certified surgeon in your area for more information. Good luck! Dean Vistnes.Vistnes Plastic SurgerySan Francisco Bay Area
Hi, based upon the attached photos the cheeks are flat anteriorly, the chin is weak and the nose is a bit wide. Female faces appear the most attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces are those that have full, round cheeks anteriorly (in the front). I don't see any signs of jowls but you can create more of a heart shaped face with the following procedures.Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler (I prefer Perlane that's now called Restylane Lyft) or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement.Chin augmentation with a dermal filler (I prefer Radiesse) or with a chin implant for a permanent enhancement to create harmony and balance to the lower face.Rhinoplasty will not add to creating a feminine, heart-shaped face but a refined, more feminine nose will add to the overall feminine looking face.
Although you have slight jowling and moderate mid-facial volume loss, the changes you have noted are normal for a 35 year old. At present, I wouldn't suggest surgical treatment with a face lift. However you may be a good candidate for an injectable filler (such as Voluma). The filler can replace the volume loss and help suspend some of the sagging tissues. The injections can last between 1 and 2 years and would need to be repeated, but would be much simpler and less expensive than a surgical procedure. Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
