Any doctor's suggestions for T-Z plasty of the neck?

I want to find a doctor to do a T-Z plasty of the neck in his office under a local in the Houston area. The 2 I contacted only use a general.

There are many Facial Plastic Surgeons and Plastic Surgeons in your area who can perform a submental Z-plasty with great results.  However, I am not sure why having the procedure performed under local is so critical.  The vast majority of my patients prefer not to be aware of the sights and sounds of the OR.  Although this may sound easier and safer, it introduces a level of anxiety you may not be aware of and can add operative time.

Thank you for your question.The Z plasty procedure will address skin excess at the chin level. However, in the majority of times will leave a prominent scar. the traditional surgery has the disadvantages of the length and invasiveness. However, when done properly it camouflages the scars very well. Good luck in your journey
