I suggest speaking to your physician it takes 6-12 months to see improvement. I often add botox and neck tightening procedures (venus legacy) to speed up the healing process.  If there is "banding" steroid injections or a revision may be needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The #healing process can take from 2-6 months for face, neck and cheeks, and to 9-12 months for the forehead and scalp. Also, some degree of firmness or lumpiness under the skin is normal after surgery and will resolve with time. I see the swelling of your neck under your chin.  This type of swelling would not be unusual for the first month.  By the third month, the swelling should be decreasing.  You should wait until the 6th month before you conclude that something needs to be done.  Its best to follow with your original surgeon as he knows exactly what was done during the original surgery.

When the neck is tightened it does create a band. When you tilt your head down your tissues push downwards on the band that make it more visible. This banding tends to relax over time and the swelling reduce. I would keep in touch with your PS to see if there are any non surgical options he/she can recommend.
