I had tummy tuck and lipo today. I am bleeding from the back which has bled through the binder. Should I change the binder ot leave it on for the 24-48 hrs they recommend. And at what point should I go into emergency? It's been about 12 hrs since the surgery.

Answer: Report bleeding after abdominoplasty to your surgeon.
It is hard to give good advice without pictures or an i8n person examination. It is best to followup with your operative surgeon to address any concerns you may have. Usually local wound care and antibiotics will suffice.
You should find out if you had a urinary catheter placed during surgery. Sometimes that can lead to some difficulties urinating, but these usually resolve on their own. If you have any real difficulty, you should definitely follow up with your plastic surgeon as soon as possible. Good luck!
Thank you for the question. It is hard to assess your situation without any pictures and an in-person examination. Best if you can visit your board-certified plastic surgeon and get a full evaluation. Best of luck, Dr. Michael Omidi.
