My belly button is infected. Can I put white vinegar on?

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry to hear of your belly button issues.  Without photographs it is difficult offering definite advice but local wound care often entails ointment covered by a clean gauze, or lightly moistened gauzed placed within the wound which gets replaced 1-2x's per day until your body heals from the inside out.  If you can't see your surgeon seek a second opinion or another plastic surgeon's office in your area that would be willing to assist you.  

It is hard to give good advice without pictures or an i8n person examination.  It is best to followup with your operative surgeon to address any concerns you may have.  Usually local wound care and antibiotics will suffice.

Generally antibiotics and local would care are adequate. Occasionally it is not actual infection but a necrosing (dying) belly button. Either way, the treatment is the same initially. I would not recommend vinegar. Better to use hydrogen peroxide. Good luck.
