Unless you have some wound issues and you should be asking your surgeon about your concerns as your surgeon knows best what was done, what kind of sutures were used and what technique was employed. Your surgeon should be able to provide you the reassurances you need at this time.
The short answer is no, it should not affect your long term outcome this far out after surgery. These tend to help for the first 10 days or so but are then of negligible value. Be sure to talk to your doc before discontinuing any treatment and get their input.
