Hello, usually we say 6 weeks to resume all physical activities safely. If you had a breast augmentation placed sub muscularly and you plan on going back to lift weights, you may notice strengthening of the pec muscle may allow for your implant to sit higher than usual. You can massage them down. If you simply had a fat transfer to the breasts, this would not be affected after resuming weight lifting.
In uneventful healing, I will allow my patients to return to strenuous exercise such as lifting weights about 6 weeks following a breast lift with slight reduction.
There is no right or wrong answer. Fat transfer is a hit or miss procedure and I don’t think 6 weeks or 3 months will make a difference. However I recommend you follow your surgeon’s advice.
Dear penguinmaster1001,I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello. In my opinion you can lift around 2 to 3kgs weight by around 3 weeks. But for more heavy weight lifting it is better to wait for a period of about 6 to 7 weeks to prevent any complications. Hope I have cleared your doubt. Thanks for posting your query. All the best.
I would suggest doing what your surgeon recommends. Full activities can be resumed at 3 months because the fat grafts are now stale. Lifting can be done probably by 6 weeks.
Slim patients often are very limited in donor fat, whereby larger patients have plenty of donor fat to use. Less fat transferred is less volume.
Hello. Thanks for posting your query. In my opinion breast fat transfer will give you desire shape and size. It will help to increase 1 cup size larger. Hope i have cleared your doubt. All the best!
You can achieve a more similar look and the dent may be able to be filled with fat. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your options.
