Am I a candidate for lip lift? (photos)

Question

I have recently got veneers as my lip lacked support from my teeth. Now I’m curious if a lip lift will increase my red lip (as it’s currently non-existent)? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Your photos suggest that you are an excellent candidate for a lip lift. This procedure reduces the distance between the vermillion and the base of the nose. It also produces an effect to turn out the vermillion so there is more of the vermillion on show which mimics the effect of an fuller lip which is exactly what you are requesting..

Yes, excellent candidate.The ideal candidate for the Elelyft, or upper lip lift, is someone with a philtral length of 14mm or longer, no upper dental show, and/or a thin upper lip. The nasal base to mouth width ratio needs to be taken into consideration to avoid leaving the lip corners down. Consult with an experienced lip surgeon for a complete range of options that are appropriate for your situation.

Thank you for your question! You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. Volbella, Restylane, and Juvederm are good to create a symmetrical lip. NovaThreads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. Many thanks for posting your question - from what I can see, you might be an excellent candidate.Your upper pink lip is thin and the nose-mouth distance is relatively long. However, we would have to bear in mind the vertical height of your lower lip. If too much of a lip lift was performed it might risk unbalancing your lips (which would then possibly require filler injections to plump the lower lip).I hope this helps in answering your question!

You appear to be a right candidate for a lip lift, your philtrum seems to be long enough for a lip lift. Also, with mouth relaxed, you seem to have a limited dental show, which is also in plus. Please see a plastic surgeon who will review your overall face proportions, nose-lip ratio, etc.

While a subnasal lip lift will shorten the distance between your nose and upper lip, it will not change the  thinner outer aspects of your upper lip. It will actually make them look thinner by comparison. You really need a procedure that increases the whole upper lip vermillion show from mouth corner to mouth corner. An upper lip vermilion advancement may be better suited to your total upper lip needs.
