Thank you for your question. Please remember that the practice of medicine is just that...a practice. Different providers have differing opinions and that is certainly the case in the aesthetic world. There are a few different reasons as to why your injector may have told you this. Here are some of those... 1. She may be right, and you may actually not need it. Even with ideal bone structure, you may need it in the future, but perhaps just not at the present time. 2. Another possibility is that your provider may not feel comfortable performing this particular procedure, and she therefore does not recommend it, or does not want to lose your business. 3. Lastly, you may in fact need it, however, your provider does not feel that you do. This is where differing opinions are at play. I always tell patients to appreciate when a provider tells you that you do not need a procedure. In this field in particular, practitioners typically work on commission, therefore, the more we do, the more we make. It does not benefit us in any way to tell patients not to do something. If you feel strongly about it, or have doubts about what she is telling you, get a second and third opinion from other experienced providers in your area. I can only give you a limited opinion based on the photo presented. From this particular photo, it appears that the left eye could possibly use a small amount of filler, but the right side looks very smooth. Lighting and angles play a HUGE role in how the under eye area looks in photos, so a face-to-face consultation is a must. Good luck!
