I’ve got a dent on each cheekbone from hyalase. Is there anything I can do? I really don’t want to re-inject filler, I’ve had such a bad experience with it :(
Answer: Volume loss Since you desire to correct volume (the dent), then you'll need to do something to replace that lost, or displaced, volume. It's difficult to tell in the pictures, but I don't think a facelift to replace the tissues is likely warranted just yet; you look very young. Since you're opposed to filler, you could consider fat grafting to the area. If this doesn't appeal to you, cheek implants may be an option, but given the very lateral aspect of your loss, they may need to be custom-designed for your issue. If all of this doesn't appeal to you, then consider make-up camouflage consultation. I wish you the best!

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Facial contours If you are not interested in correction with fillers you can consider fat grafting. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for an evaluation and to learn more. During the visit your surgeon can assess if possibly there is filler that remains.

Answer: Dent after use of Hyalase They may have injected it as a spot treatment and it acted as a very localized manner. It is hard to tell through photos alone but you may need either more Hyalase to smooth it out because there is still residual filler in the areas surrounding the dent or, you don’t want to read that but more filler. You can always do fat transfer instead (which is a living filler).

Answer: Consider bio-stimulators after appropriate time passed The question is - how long ago were you injected? Remember that hyaluronidase will not only dissolve the unwanted filler, but your own native hyaluronic acid as well. Generally it takes 6-8 weeks for your tissues to heal and your native HA to regenerate. If the areas continue looking indented, consider bio-stimulators like Radiesse or Sculptra.
