My doctor recommended between 300-350ccs. Im technically a 30 around. He also recommended silicone but for personal reasons I wanted saline. Im getting them under the muscle. They are going to be put high profile and incisions under the breast? If they are too big, will it create rippling? Also what cup size do you think that would make me? Thanks!
Answer: Breast augmentation on small framed individual.
A cup size of bra is considered approximately 200 cc's in an implant. This is an estimation. Therefore a 300 cc implant may add 1 1/2 cup sizes. You are probably an exception to this rule because you are a petite individual. I do agree with your doctor and would highly recommend silicone, high profile to fit your small diameter of breast. You cannot judge by bra size but a 300 or 350 cc HP may give you a C cup, since you are so small around the chest (30). I agree with submuscular placement. I discourage the use of saline in a small framed person as you. The implants will more than likely, simulate a ballish look and be firm. This will give you more of a "fake" look, which most women to not wish to have. SInce you are so small framed, even with silicone, you may be able to feel the edges of the implant but much less likely with silicone. I agree with the recommendations of your doctor.
Good Luck!

Answer: 300 mL breast implants seem reasonable here.
There are different ways to establish the preferred volume for breast augmentation. Based on the photograph I think that a 300 mL implant would be suitable choice. You need to take time to figure out precisely what size you want to be

Answer: Avoid bottoming out by simultaneous lift
At size 32 each 100 cc's of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. A 300 cc implant will take you up 3 cup sizes to a C or possibly a D. However, from your photographs your breasts appear too low. If you implants are centered under your areola they will extrude underneath the pectoralis major muscle and you will need revisions. I recommend a new technique called Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast Lift. Using only a circumareola incision it is possible to place the implant, reshape your breast tissue to increase upper pole fullness and elevate your breast higher and more medial to increase your cleavage. Aligning the areola, breast tisuse and implant over the bony prominence of the chest wall will achieve maximum anterior projection with a minimal size implant. The profile of the implant is irrelevant when placed subpectorally because the muscle will compress it. I believe if you place a 300 cc implant through an inframammary incision your implants will bottom out and you will need a revision in a short period of time.

Answer: I'm 5'5 100lbs Is 300cc Too Big? I'm a 32 AA.
300 cc in a high profile implant will not be too large. Silicone implants would create less rippling. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Answer: Breast implant sizing
I do not think your volume range of 300-350 cc is too aggressive, however silicone implants would be better in my opinion given your extremely little breast tissue. Even under the muscle you will experience significant rippling laterally. Good luck.

Answer: Selecting implant size
The width of the implant selected should be based upon breast base width and amount of breast tissue already present, not your chest wall circumference. Filling saline implants to the upper limit of what is recommended by the manufacturer will decrease the chances of visible rippling. With high profile saline implants, however, this will significantly increase projection, and as these implants are all round, the more projection the implant has the rounder the final breast will appear. If your skin envelope is very tight, a larger volume high profile implant may also increase the risk of creating stretch marks.
Placing implants behind the muscle provides camouflage and will decrease the chances of visible rippling in the upper / inner area of the breast (the region exposed when wearing a bra / bathing suit, etc.)
I would recommend reviewing your desires and concerns in detail with your surgeon.
To address your comment, silicone implants can be placed in women under the age of 22, but their use would be considered "off label", as the FDA has only approved the cosmetic use of silicone implants for women age 22 and older.
