What are the prerequisites for breast augmentation?

Do you typically require a mammogram to be done before having the surgery? How far out will you accept the mammo? Is 6 mo prior to surgery acceptable with no prior hx of cancer? I am too young for insurance to cover an elective mammography but hospital is running a special rate for all women over 35 y.o.

Tenderness 3 weeks following surgery doesn't worry me too much unless there are any other issues... I would assume you have a follow up visit scheduled and if not I would make an appointment to make sure there is not anything your surgeon needs to address.

Is it normal to have numbness/ tingling in my wrists after breast augmention? I had the augmenattion about 12 hrs ago.

A horse voice and painful swallowing six days after breast augmentation with general anesthesia is rare. A phone call and or visit with your plastic surgeon would be suggested so that he or she may discuss your symptoms with the anesthesiologist.

It is sometimes seen to have spitting sutures 4 weeks post operation. The answer to your question may be that it wasn't there at the time of the exam or that it is not ready to fully come out yet. You can always go back so they trim it down if it is bothering you. I do recommend you consult...

Thanks for your question and photo. Yes, your nipples appear a little low. It's hard to say without looking at your before pictures if this is from the implants being too high or if you had a short nipple to crease distance to begin with. Either way, I suggest following...
