I'm three weeks post b/a. Everything seems to be fine, scars healing well and swelling has significantly went down. However, the bottom of my left breast hurts if the sports bra is on for too many hrs and even to touch it's tender and hurts. Is this normal? The right breast is not giving me any issues at all. Also I am a lefty i'm not sure if that plays any part.
Answer: Tenderness 3 weeks following surgery Tenderness 3 weeks following surgery doesn't worry me too much unless there are any other issues... I would assume you have a follow up visit scheduled and if not I would make an appointment to make sure there is not anything your surgeon needs to address.

Answer: Pain in left breast upon touch. It is common for breasts to react and adapt differently to implants in the initial period of recovery. The tender touch, and pain you are describing to be localized to the left breast is common. It may just be the sports bra. But it could also happen if you are using your left side more than the right side (i.e., using the left arm to pick and carry heavy items). It could also just be hypersensitivity which resolves over time as the breasts undergo natural tissue expansion to accommodate the implants. When this happens, the implants will put less pressure on the nerves surrounding the breast, resulting in less pain on touch. Please maintain follow-up with your board-certified plastic surgeon to make sure you are healing well.

Answer: Three weeks after breast augmentation Dear teepee112,Thank you for your question. Tenderness three weeks after surgery is very normal, since you are still early on in the healing process. Your post operative bra may be too tight, causing discomfort. It is also common to have more pain on the dominant hand side, since it is more active. It is best to make an in person appointment with your plastic surgeon to be evaluated for any issues. They will also be able to determine if your bra is too tight. Best of luck!

Answer: Tender touch/pain under boob 3 weeks after breast augmentation normal? The tenderness that she described can certainly be caused by overactivity and the pressure of your surgical bra. A looser softer bra can help. It is normal that this discomfort would occur on the side of her dominant hand which is more active.
