Question

I had lip fillers done a week ago. Immediately after the I had a huge bruise and bleeding (pictured below). A week later the bruise and swelling has subsided but there is a lump on my lip hanging low. I am taking arnica to help with healing. I have an appt later this week to have my lips looked at but i wanted to know exactly what I was talking about to get the best results. I also have one large depost of filler in my lower lip. It looks good just feels very ridgid. 1ml Restylane.

Glad to hear your bruise is improving.  The lump you feel could be residual bruising that might be in the lip muscle itself.  A couple more days and you will probably notice that this will subside as well. Once the swelling improves, you can see the results of the injection.  Bruising can happen unfortunately anytime you undergo an injection, but hopefully despite this hiccup, you end up with the look you desire. Best of Luck

Thank you for your question. The lump you are experiencing can be bruising or due to filler. Please note that it can up to 2 weeks for all swelling to subside. If after this time the lump does not resolve it can be due to filler which can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. I recommend having a follow up with your injector for an evaluation. Best of Luck!
