Hello and thank you for your question! Regarding the fine lines around your mouth, commonly referred to as smoker's lines or straw lines, we would typically use Restylane Silk to help smooth these areas. We cannot answer if it is worth the cost, as each patient's mindset is different and their cosmetic and aesthetic goals may be worth more or less depending on the person.
I suggest you consult with a Board Certified Plastic surgeon who can provide a natural result. Usually fillers or a small amount of Botox can help with treating the area Kenneth Hughes MD
A combination approach is needed to get the most improvement. This will improve with a combination of microneedling/prp, fractional co2 laser, TCA peels, or fractional RF treatments, with fillers and/or botox. I suggest you see a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in lasers and fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.
Some fillers are better at this than others. Fillers offer a non-surgical option and Restylane Silk and Belotero can create an improvement, but not "get rid of them" altogether. You might consider skin resurfacing with lasers, chemical peels, and/or microneedling.Best wishes, Dr. AlDO
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you advice with seeing a photo or examining you in person. However, there are many options to treat this area such as Botox and dermal fillers. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
The fine lines around the lips can be treated in several ways. It is best to see a Board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon. We have several fillers that work well such as Juvederm, Restylane, Restylane Silk and Volbella .These are my favorite fillers for this area. They can also be treated with Fraxel, micropen and Botox/Dysport..As you see we have many options. This is why you need an evaluation with a customized plan for you.
You do have a number of options including dermal filler and laser to address these lines. Consult with an experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeon to understand your options.
Sometimes filler can help, sometimes small amounts of botox can help, sometimes laser or dermabrasion can help.
Like all aesthetic procedures, step one for a good result is talking to an expereinced, board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon that does non-surgical rejuvenation. The evaluation is crucial to the results. Fillers (Restylane family, Juvederm family, and Belotero) are best for volume lose and many perioral lines are more from sundamage and respond better to microneedling or some type of laser resurfacing. Other lines are from hyper-dynamic obicularis oris muscle and need a touch of Botox. Many need all 3 tools for best results. Don't give up. Reboot.
Fine lines can be improved with Restylane or other fillers but a better alternative is Botox which works much better and takes very little material. The problem is the difficulty afterward using a straw, whistling and sometimes using a cup and speaking
Good morning! Some swelling two days after filler on your lateral orbit is common- but be careful pressing on it too much. It takes several days for the filler to "set up"- pushing too much too early can make it all disappear completely! In my practice, I encourage patients to come to the o...

Thank you for your question. It is very unlikely that you still have product left in this area after 17 months. Even though it is rare to have an allergic reaction to Restylane it is possible. I recommend having a consultation with an expert for evaluation and proper treatment. Best of Luck!
