Can I smoke cigarettes after lip injections?

Question

I got lip injections at 5 pm the other day and it’s the next morning 12:28 pm. I got a type of juvederm that is supposed to last a year. My doctor said i would be fine to smoke cigarettes by the next morning but i’m worried that I shouldn’t because my lips are swollen and bruised right now. I heard that cigarettes can leave a shape in the juvederm if you smoke them.

You can smoke after lip fillers, but I don't recommend it due to health reasons. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results. Hope this helps.

While smoking at this point will not affect the results, it may be uncomfortable. Smoking may lead to more frequent need for fillers.

Smoking should not impact the results of your Juvederm.  It may be uncomfortable to do so with the swelling however.  Smoking cessation is always encouraged for health reasons.
