Question

Hiya, I recently got lip fillers (1ml) however for some odd reason my upper right and left vermilion borders have small lumps/blister(white) it seems like my upper lip has discoloured and it does itch now and then. Further to this, today is the 5th day and I don't really want to get them dissolved; swelling is still there. I was wondering if someone can help me. Also, some people say that the filler could just be sitting in one place, but would that case or will I be left with this for good?

Swelling can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results, but this may be superficially placed filler. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question. You are still early in the healing process. These may just be Fordyce Spots, normal swelling of sebaceous glands. Follow up with your injector two weeks after your injection. Best wishes!

You don't need to do anything about your lips at this point in time and you most definitely don't need to dissolve the filler. Give yourself another 10 days or so and I'm sure you'll be quite happy with the outcome. Good luck from New York City

Hi, it appears that the filler may have been injected too close to the skin surface and not distributed evenly. Although it lacks the 'bluish" appearance of the typical Tyndall effect. I would let it settle in for the next few weeks, and then have the injector re-assess before dissolving.
