24 year old African American female requesting Ethnic African American Rhinoplasty. Her complaints were that her nose was too wide, the bridge and naso-frontal angle was low and wide and the tip of her nose was fat and bulbous. Performed an Open Rhinoplasty, Ethnic African American Rhinoplasty. The bridge of her nose was augmented/raised using a custom carved silicone implant, SLUPimplantTM. The bridge and naso-frontal angle was elevated to the appropriate height. The tip was refined by defatting the nasal tip fibrofatty tissue and a septal cartilage strut graft was use to re-support and rotate the tip. Also a shield graft was sutured over the septal cartilage shield graft for further tip definition and refinement. To narrow the width of the nostrils a horizontal intra-sill incision was used to reduce the intra-nasal width. Post-op pictures show the patient 2 months after surgery with increased bridge naso-frontal angel height, refined nasal tip and narrowed nostrils.
