Had ear surgery for almost 2 years ago and still think my ears look asymmetrical and weird. One of the ears also have a pointy antihelical fold which a think look extremely ugly and unnatural. Should it look and feel like this or can ut be reversible. I just think that I made a terrible mistake and would never done this if I knew the outcome :( And yes I may have BDD so this surgery did not help to be honest.
I had an otoplasty almost 6 months ago. Initially the antihelix seemed huge, however my doctor said we need to look at the results later, as they were swollen and needed to recover. Now at the 6 month mark, my antihelix still seems to be protruding a lot and looks unnatural. Could you tell me what do you think of these results?
I first had otoplasty done by an amazing plastic surgeon in Perth who always puts his patients first, and very happy with the results. I went back a few years later to have a minor adjustment. I would love my surgeon to perform another minor surgery to adjust them back more. I feel they are growing and would like them set back just a little bit, but wondering if it would create an unnatural look or keloids were a risk? He adjusted them slightly and I would be happy for him to do the same
I would like an independent review. This is almost 2 weeks post-op. The helix looks double and not well connected. It also looks like it's slightly open in the rear. I also have concerns about how the scars will look, especially at the helix. Will it look normal when it's healed or do I need revision surgery? And how soon should a revision surgery be done?
10 days ago I had my ears pinned back. Unfortunately they dont look I wanted to.. They are too close to my head, look unnatural.. Will they look naturally eventually? I need to wear headband for 5 more days at night only.. 2 first photos 10 days after surgery Last photo before
3 weeks ago, I underwent otoplasty for my protruding ears. I am worried that my ears have an unnatural contour, mainly that the middle third of the ear is over corrected. Was the surgery well done? And is there some natural movement forward after otoplasty?
Had otoplasty 5 weeks ago; result looks unnatural; awkward look due to the hidden helix. When the dressing was removed after the surgery, my ears were very set back. Surgeon said the ears tend to move fwd, and he over corrected to accommodate. I'm anxious/ sad about whether this is my final result. How long before cartilage is done moving my ears fwd to show more helix? If this is my final result, are there options to surgically revise? sad about the procedure. Trying to contact surgeon.
I had Otoplasty done exactly 6 months ago and I am very unhappy with the outcome. I feel as if my ears look unnatural and is there any way I can see a doctor so he can fix it or maybe its too soon for my results. I would love to see another surgeon . My concha bowl looks unnatural and my right ear looks bended.
Hello! I had an otoplasty 14 years ago and the results were very unnatural. Through the pictures you can see the the telephone deformity and the overcorrect antihelix. I'd like to reverse and get more naturals ears. Excuse me for my not perfect english. Thank you for help!
I had otoplasty for right ear 1 month back..the surgery was about folding the helical rim(Stahl's ear)..after the surgery the surgeon has not yet done well.. now my ears looks unnatural and bump like structure in top on helical...I disappointed with this...so can I go with follow up or revision otoplasty?
